Two hundred and humbled

I never dreamed when I started this blog it would reach so many people. 200 and going up all the time – I’m humbled.  It started off as me simply writing about our family trips and camping adventures. A way of sharing my passion for travel. But it’s become so much more and taken on a life of it’s own.

I love the fact that I’ve connected with so many people, not just from Australia but from all across the world. And I so appreciate the many comments and feedback that I’ve received from so many of you. Some make me laugh, some are inspiring, many are insightful and make me think and reflect. I’m grateful for them all. And I love reading your stories as well.

Through this blog I’m finding inspiration in the ordinary. Whether it’s our camping adventures throughout Australia or just getting out and about in my local neighborhood there really is so much to be grateful for in life.  Even when times are hard, as they often are, I believe there’s always a silver lining and hope in a new day.

And the sun continues to rise.

It’s simply about opening our eyes and choosing to find the beauty and magic in the ordinary and everyday things.

And sometimes the not so ordinary!

Thanks for reading my posts and I hope you continue to enjoy my words and photos as much as I enjoy sharing them with you.

Keep smiling, choose to be happy and enjoy the journey.

  1. Congratulations on reaching 200! Your blog is very good, which I suspect has something to do with so many people following it. And it is surprising just how many good relationships you build through writing a blog, isn’t it? I wasn’t expecting that, but like you, am very grateful. Keep writing!!!!

  2. Congratulations! I’m thoroughly enjoying reading of your adventures. This blogging life is rewarding and an eye opener to the real people of the world not the world that commercial media would have us believe. Keep up the good work.

  4. Well, I’m guessing you live in South Australia too. I live in Millicent in the south east. I look at the map of where viewers come from and I am amazed when someone from Slovakia or Korea reads me but now I’m amazed that someone in the same state reads me. Cheers.

    1. Hi Moira. I’m actually from Victoria (outer Melb) but we’ve traveled extensively through South Australia. We recently did the Eyre Peninsula and last year we spent our holidays at Southend on the Limestone Coast. SA has a beautiful coastline.
