Wow! Congrats on all your achievements. Many years ago I wrote for a newspaper back home in The Bahamas, and you’re right, it is hard work writing articles/stories.

Thanks so much Etta. Yes, there’s lots of competition in the travel writing business, but it’s been incredibly satisfying. More than anything now I just find that it’s a great way to journal our family’s adventures.

You sure have done lots of travel. I have done a bit of camping when the kids were little but now my husband and I prefer to stay in hotels or rent cottages when in Europe.
Congratulations on all your published pieces.

Thanks Heather. Yes we also enjoy staying in hotels and B & B’s occasionally but I have to say nothing beats hitting the road in our camper. I just love it.

I will be back in Oz in 3 weeks. Have you been to Kangaroo Island.

Sure have. Twice. Once before the kids were born and more recently. I can do a blog post on it if you like.

How wonderful! Great achievements. I too have written for magazines, mostly U.K. Sailing magazines, and had my own photos published. In the summer we live on our boat and float around the greek islands. I am still amazed when I see my words and photos in print…….

Fabulous! Good for you Georgie and I agree with you. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve been published, I still get a buzz when I see my words in print.

I agree. Most pleasurable things do take at least a little hard work.
