One of the few silver linings of the current world crisis is the online connection we’re making with others, all across the world.
It’s a powerful way to feel that, even though we’re physically distant from others, we’re actually much closer and, in fact, very much a part of something much bigger than ourselves.
To me these virtual friendships and conversations are as real and as enriching as our real life ones. I feel particularly grateful at this point in time to be a part of this supportive and inspiring WP community.
All over the world people are connecting, learning, supporting each other and engaging in conversations in so many meaningful ways. For me personally, aside from the usual blogging, the Universe very unexpectedly, decided to send me three very different invitations in the space of just a couple of weeks. In the past I might have shied away for various reasons. This time I’ve said YES to all of them.
The first came in the form of an invitation from former blogger, business woman and all round nice gal Sandra Hermenjat. Sandra recently invited me on as a guest speaker in her FB group to share my thoughts and stories about travel and well being. It was a fun and lively night.

“Every good conversation starts with good listening. “

“Life’s all about simple things … long walks, time spent in nature, living in the moment and indulging in heart conversations.”
In the second week I had a wonderful telephone conversation as part of an interview series, based around the theme “What is possible when love leads”. I feel honoured to have been invited to chat with creator and host Vivienne Hunter who I connected with on Instagram. As part of a group of eight other like minded people from various fields of life, we each individually had the opportunity to open up about our life journey and what’s possible when we follow our heart.
The third opportunity is still in the pipeline but will involve another interview with a fellow writer, adventurer and all round amazing human … more details as it evolves.
When Love Leads – the conversations
So … I warmly invite you to this audio interview series with each of the nine participants beginning on July 15. My interview “Adventure and the Richness of Life” will be aired on Day 2, July 16th or July 17th depending on your time zone. If you can’t listen on that date airing will be available to all listeners who register from July 19th to July 30th. So you have until the end of the month to listen to it.
I’d love it if you’d tune in. All you need to do to register is click on the link below, which has all the details of each interview, including mine. That’s it!

As Viv writes on her website about the interviews:
“I feel it’s particularly timely with so much outside of us right now, that is out of control and in chaos.
In such times, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and disconnected from our deep innate wisdom and even from ourselves and each other.
As we listen, we remember the power of unity, of serving in heart led ways … We see it’s possible to thrive even after hardest of times…”
“We talked deeply about how allowing love to lead while following a deep knowing from within, has shaped their paths and lives. We hear how this allowed each to come to know the voice of love within themselves as the connection to their own hearts and spirits developed and grew with deeper and deeper trust.
I love the joy and possibilities shared by those who are living their dreams.
I love the beautiful wisdom that is shared.
I love the encouragement of hearing how others moved through challenging times, the inspiration of knowing no matter what is happening beyond us, we have a beautiful guidance system of our hearts and spirits, within, always there, always on our side and leading us forward perfectly, even in the hardest of times.
This series offers you all the above with a new, unplugged, uplifting and easy listening conversation each day. “
What’s possible when love leads? I hope you’ll join us and find out.
In love, light and conversation.

Conversation isn’t about proving a point; true conversation is about going on a journey with the people you are speaking with. Ricky Maye

Signed up, looking forward to it. XX

I watched a movie called “Red Dog” last night because it was filmed in your beautiful country. The set was in northern Australia and what caught my attention was the red dirt. In Iowa, our dirt is as black as coal. I enjoy exploring Australia through your camera lens!

Red Dog is a wonderful movie. I watched it many years ago and loved it. As for that red dirt, it really does epitomise central Australia, those big blue skies and vibrant red earth. I guess that’s why they call it the Red Centre. I loved it. There’s something almost spiritual about the place that gets under your skin. Thank you for your comment. Glad you enjoy my posts.

Hi, Miriam – Have I told you before how much I love your posts? I always get so much from them.
I agree that virtual connections have been a silver-lining of our current pandemic…if we have allowed them to be.
Even more importantly, every good conversation does begin with good listening.
Thank you for sharing this.

Cara amica, this is just fabulous!! I´ve already shared your “When Love leads” link on my FB-account, as I feel truly inspired and uplifted by its premise and content. I honestly cannot wait to tune in to learn more about you and your fabulous life path!! I feel a lot of serenity and gentle empowerment connected to this project, and i think this is exactly what´s needed right now. It´s such a beautiful thing to offer healing and empowering media alternatives at this moment in time, when it´s becoming more and more clear that fear-based and one-sided media reporting just doesn´t work anymore!! At least not for me lol.
I agree with you my friend, that virtual friendships are (at least) as important as “real life” ones. I guess what matters is how well you hit it off with someone. In my case, a lot of my favorite humans are spread out around the globe anyways…Kudos to you my friend, for keeping up the important inspirational work you do against all obstacles!! And I am curious to find out more about your third interview with that human you mentioned, too 😎😎
So much love, hugs, and gratitude to you from a sunny Spanish summer´s day💖🤗🤗🤗🤗

Maria, every time I go to reply to your message something comes up! It’s so strange! But finally … anyway, thank you so much for sharing my post, that’s so sweet of you.
I’m excited that you’re going to be listening and so appreciate your friendship and support. I feel deeply honoured to be part of this series amongst such inspiring people also living their dreams and purpose. I agree, it’s what the world needs more of, peace, empowerment and hope filled conversations instead of the opposite. Every small drop of positivity helps amongst the fear inducing media frenzy of negativity these days which really frustrates me.
The third interview? lol yes, I can’t wait to find out more myself! 😄 Here’s to friendships, connections and stepping forward into hope and light. Look forward to chatting soon my friend. In the meantime take care and keep smiling. Sending big hugs and love on a cool Melbourne Thursday night. xxxx 💕🥰

I love your words here “Here´s to friendships, connections and stepping forward into hope and light!” Amen and Om to that cara. Look forward to chatting soon with ya, too! 🙂 Take care, big hugs and molto more come siempre! xxxx 💕💕

That is wonderful Miriam, I feel more and more of us are connecting to people and groups we are meant to… And I feel many of our WP community of friends we share followers with, have been drawn together for this exact reason. To know we are far from alone with our thoughts..
I signed up to listen, I am unsure as yet the time zone differences for the UK… but if I do miss them I can use the other option to listen later..
I just joined a new group… Not that I have that much time to partake in it but it is Connecting Consciousness
Lovely to see you participating this way…. People are going to find new ways of joining hearts, to create Light and Love in this world..
Sending HUGE hugs dearest Miriam…

YES!!! And how wonderful and glorious, Miriam, that you are connecting with like-minded people! I am SO happy for you! I am signing up to listen just like Sue is. I am filling mySelf with love and optimism and hope and inspiration. I as you am living my life according to the love that my Inner Guidance has taught me and is showing me in these present times. No one has the right to control me or anyone, and so with that said, despite the hardships and limitations, I am finding a Way to still be free. Sounds like you are doing the very same. SO happy for you and SO proud of you!!! Much love to you!! xo

I feel the same as you Amy. Maybe we can be restricted and told what is allowed in our outer world but no one can take away our internal freedoms and how we feel inside. So keep filling yourself up with love and peace and positivity. And finding inspiration in nature. That’s where we’re truly free when we can embrace the beauty that’s out there. So glad you’ll be tuning in to hear my story Amy. Thank you my friend, for your support and friendship. Much love back. xx 🌹

You are so welcome, Mariam. You will always have my support and friendship. Anyone who sees the truth despite the lies, is my hero. I have begun to fight back despite the fact that the fear agenda has gotten worse. If we want our world to be what we know it to be, all of us must begin to fight against the takeover that has been brilliantly planned. I encourage you to subscribe and watch https://youtu.be/isXcfoXpglc?t=513. Another blogger gave me this alternative news source and I have been watching. I hope you do too! Much love to you! xo

Just came on here to close things down and saw your comment come in. Julie, I’ve had a tremendously huge shock today and am still recovering from it. I went to get my hair done and to my horror was forced to wear a mask even with a MEDICAL DOCUMENT EXCUSING ME FROM WEARING ONE. Those who I’ve known for years and grown to love I no longer recognize actually crying when I came home how they have changed. I almost passed out towards the end of my appt. and had to take the mask off no longer able to tolerate it. I cannot believe it has come to this that not even someone’s medical condition is taken into consideration. I’m shaking still and my appointment was hours ago. I cannot believe how bad it has gotten here in NY. No matter what I said I was told either I put a mask on or I had to leave. And these “were” my friends who know I have a respiratory condition. The threat of being fined $10,000 is what is making them force people like me to wear a mask. They themselves will get so sick …. it will only be a matter of time. And then it will be too late. I pray it is not too late. People have GOT TO START FIGHTING BACK!

I’m so so sorry you had to go through that Amy. I can feel the shock and tremor in your words and can only imagine how difficult that must have been for you. Stay strong my friend, it’s not an easy ride ahead but we can’t let go of our faith. We can’t give in to the fear that so many others have. When it’s our friends it’s even harder, I feel we may lose some along the way, but what we can never lose is our own sense of hope and light. Sending you big hugs of friendship, support and love across the miles. xxxx

Miriam… I am back after listening to your wonderful chat with Vivienne, So loved your conversation and yes often what we see at the time as doors shut, in the loss of that job, are just shutting to throw you to another more open door that suits your heart..
And Vivienne is right when she says about community on your blog and the way of words you have in your writing… Its a wonderful testimony to who you are…
And the way you write not only inspires those whose interests are to travel, but you also inspire the heart, as your words bring to life how important it is to follow your heart…
None more so than these times we are in.. As we draw together gathering our strength from each other..
So well done Miriam… A superb interview…. Loved listening, and also listened to the previous lady with the hand analysis fascinating….
Ok well way past my bed time here Miriam….
Sending LOVE and well wishes… Happy Safe Travels.. and have a great weekend..
