Dreaming
Fantasising
Wild imagining
like a gift still unwrapped.

Tension mounts
Stirrings awaken
Talking and planning
A delicious contemplation.

Scintillating

Nerve wracking
Palpitations
Like a deep massage
an unscratchable itch.

When senses collide
Lustful impatience
builds desire
to fever pitch.

Anticipating

Passionate daydreams
A journey unfolds
As desires emerge
to become one.

Tantalisingly near
Feeling alive
One step closer to you
Getting there is half the fun.

Tides roll in and out under a sun kissed sky
New adventures keep us riding high
Stepping into a future sublime
Dreams and pleasures fill our mind

Lovers and travellers … we’re all alike when we find ourselves on the brink of an adventure. Those feelings before we embark on something new are intoxicating and exciting.

Thinking about all the trips to come, the roads still to be driven and the planning of adventures waiting to be enjoyed is exhilarating.

Often the best part of doing something is the dreaming of it, the allure of a long awaited holiday, the excitement of a special occasion or the thrill of waiting to see someone.

Enjoy the anticipation.

Trust and believe it will happen.

Cherish the feeling and let it build.

Let it unfold naturally and revel in the knowledge that something wonderful is waiting for you.

As Christmas and a new year approaches, appreciate each and every day. Life is precious and fleeting.

Dedicated to all the lovers and wonderlusterers out there and to all of the trips and delicious moments still to come.

Make every day an adventure and live it to the fullest.

  15. Wow, Miriam, this is lovely…and anticipating something is as enjoyable as the actual event. You have tapped into one of me “resolutions” (I hate calling them that, tho) to be more present and enjoy each day full, including the anticipation of the next adventure.

      1. Just come back from visiting A &E hospital for mum ..

        I wasnt well. And i think i made her unwell and it gets serious if she falls ill.

        Just got back.. i hope she gets better we haves meds for a week and they said see how it goes otherwise come back

  31. Oh Miriam, I love this post and that last photo of you. You look gorgeous and like you’re about to eat the best honey ever! And that Pooh quote is adorable and so illustrates what I see in you — living life to the fullest, being grateful for what you have, and trusting in the wonderful things in store for you. I am so inspired by this and your qualities of wisdom, Miriam.

    I’m also wondering whether you’re thinking of your mom, as this year comes to an end. If you are (and even if you’re not), I’m sending you a big hug… and I see her embraced by angels of rest.

  32. Lovely words, Miriam. Traveling and being on the road always brings out so many kinds of emotions. Along the way, somehow it is always a good time if we roll with the punches. ‘Let it unfold naturally and revel in the knowledge that something wonderful is waiting for you.’ So agree with this. Just go along with life and there will always be something or someone there for you, yet another adventure to be had. I like how all of these shots symbolise travel in different forms and being on the move…all so beautiful in their own ways. Take care and best wishes for the year ahead 🙂
