News On the Road

A month ago I alluded to some good news with regard to my goals and dreams and today I’m excited to be able to share it.

Most of you who’ve been following me for awhile know my story. I’ve been transparent on my blog, finding my voice and my feet, through the last three years of my blogging journey.

Lines everywhere
Getting out and about has fuelled my imagination

Now my story (or at least a condensed version of it) is in print. Although I’ve had many articles published in travel magazines over the past few years, this new chapter feels particularly special.

I’m thrilled to announce my first magazine column titled, drum roll please though the name will probably come as no surprise,Outanabout.

I’ll be writing a regular piece sharing what I love most about travelling around Australia, in each issue of On the Road, a long standing, bi-monthly travel magazine focused on destinations and RV travel in Oz.

For my first column, I was asked by the Editor, Gregg Haythorpe, to introduce myself to readers, so that’s what I’ve done.

I’m so excited to have this opportunity and I can’t wait to write more and be able to inspire and inform readers, hopefully just as I do here on my blog.

So here it is. My new column.

Imagination and ideas, coupled with action and dreaming creates reality.  Page 10 On the Road

This weekend we’re off camping in the wilds of Gippsland and I look forward to sharing more stories and insights when I return. All in the name of research, of course!

Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go. E.L. Doctorow

Happy weekend everyone.

Have fun creating and writing your own stories. Remember, we’re all doing it, every single day, making stories and living them, so make today the best one of your life.

A new day, a new story.

Here’s to going after your dreams and enjoying the journey.

        1. No need to apologise. That’s life and sometimes it’s a good thing, and necessary, to step away from the blogging. Yes, I’m well. Hope you are too and hope things have settled down a bit for you. xo 🙂

  4. Congratulations with your own column. Writing and getting published is one thing, but actually having your own column is quite a different animal. I am sure you readers will be delighted to get to know you better, too.
