Inspirational Bloggers 2016

When I began blogging less than two years ago I never dreamed it would open up such a world of friendship, support and common wonder lusting. Late last year, at the end of a very long and average 2016, David from A Wandering Memory cast me amongst his top five travel blogs which both thrilled and humbled me no end. There are so many amazing and inspiring bloggers out there. Do check out his blog for some stunning travel destinations as well as the other talented writers and photographers featured there.
Happy traveling and happy blogging everyone as we continue this crazy journey of life together. You all inspire me.

  1. Congratulations Miriam. I agree, you are inspirational. I went to the original post and ended up following all of the bloggers that were recognized. I am inspired by all of these people. What a fantastic way to learn about the world. Happy New Year. May it be your best year yet.

  2. I’m so glad your blog is getting some well-deserved recognition! You know I’ve never been to Australia (yet), but I’ve learned so much about it through your blog’s wonderful photos and descriptions. The next best thing to traveling myself is reading about the travel’s of other people! And your blog is about more than travel…unless, I guess you count the journey through life as traveling…so it is good on many levels. You are a great writer, a great blogger, and a wonderful person!!!

    1. Aw Ann, you say the nicest things that really hit me in the heart. Thank you so much. You’re right, my blog is more than just about travel, it kind of evolved with me as my writing changed to reflect what was going on in my life. I think that happens to many of us. For me it’s almost become like an online journal with pictures. Thanks for being here Ann. I love our friendship and I hope one day you really do make it to Australia!

    1. Hi Lulu, how lovely to hear from you. Thank you and no apology needed, I’m guilty too. Life gets in the way and it’s so hard to do everything and read/write/blog. Happy new year to you as well. Hope you’re well my friend. xo

        1. Sorry for the delayed comment Wendy. The weather got so hot here that hub and I decided on another impromptu night away at the beach. The kids didn’t want to come so we enjoyed a lovely time away. Of course I’ve come home to a few dramas including a wrecked door that Harry has somehow completely scratched and destroyed. I got really upset about it and then just had to catch myself and think, is this really going to matter in x years? 😐 Lots to catch up on here. Hope all’s well with you Wendy. xo

        2. Oh how lovely Miriam.. those ‘impromptu’ nights are often the best! Unexpected and delightful.. x Haha – I’ve got to laugh.. that takes me back a few years to leaving my teenage sons ‘home alone’.. yep there was always some little drama to come home to and you’re right.. it won’t matter a jot in a few years and indeed you’ll look back and laugh and you may find out more ‘stories’ that they would never admit to you at the time of things that happened.. yep been there too! haha xx All’s well (ish)… big work meeting on Tuesday which I’m not looking forward to and am surrounded by papers gathering together an ‘evidence’ file.. not pleasant and taking me back to a place I thought I’d moved on from.. The sooner it’s over the better! Hopefully your little parcel will arrive this week – they said 6 days so that should be mid week as I’m not sure if they include weekends or not.. Speak soon xx

        3. Oh yes, “home alone” are two words that conjure up all sorts of images and mischievous deeds but I guess we’ve all been there. It’s not the first time my two have been left at home alone. These days it’s the pets that are causing the most dramas though!
Good luck at work this week Wendy and especially on Tuesday with your big work meeting. Sounds like a not very nice trip backwards but stay positive, you’ll get through it and then hopefully you can move on from it. To a much better place.
So excited to get my parcel, I’ll let you know when it arrives. Have a good week Wendy, thinking of you my friend. xo

        4. Oh dear Miriam.. poor kids get the blame for everything.. oops on my part! haha…
Thanks so much for your lovely words of encouragement and yes I’m definitely looking forward to properly moving on – I’ve been stuck in limbo for too long with this one..
Fingers xx you don’t have too long to wait for the parcel and that it arrives ‘in tact’..
I hope you have a good week too Miriam enjoying some lovely weather by the sound of it! I’m definitely jealous…. although we’re planning a couple of days away for me and hubby in a couple of weeks so we’ve got that to look forward to.. Too cold for camping here though so it will probably be a City break to a nice spa hotel hopefully..
          xx

        5. A nice spa hotel sounds absolutely divine. 🙂 You’re right, it’s nice to have something to look forward to and it sounds like you’ll be well and truly ready for it when it arrives. Enjoy it Wendy. Today I’m hoping to get right back into my vision board, hub and daughter are back at work so I’ll finally have some quiet time to really focus on it, go through brochures and start being creative. Feeling like I’ve hit a bit of a lull in my writing so I may well give the blogging a bypass for a few days and focus on the vision board instead. I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend my friend. xo
