500 and thankful – Right time, right place

Today I hit another milestone, which I’m thrilled about.  This time last year I had about five followers and today I reached 500.  Considering I’ve only been really focusing on my blog since November last year, I’m so grateful that I’ve connected with so many people and so happy to be part of this wonderful blogging community.

In honor of my milestone I thought I’d give a shout out to my 500th follower, LorigreeinPortland, a great blog I discovered today.  A busy woman who writes inspiring posts on life and love in Portland and it was timely that we connected today and that I was able to resonate strongly with her posts.

This is how she starts her latest post:

One of my spring rituals is to moan, groan and make everyone within a ten mile radius perfectly miserable as I get in the mood, find time for, and finally settle down to do my taxes. ….

I can relate, not so much to the taxes but in general my mood lately.  I’ve been down and out, awfully hormonal and feeling weighed down with worries.  So when my neighbor knocked on my door today, totally out of the blue, when I had just received a not so nice phone call from my doctor, she was heaven sent.  The right person at the right time.  She lifted me out of my mood.  Don’t you love it when the Universe helps out!

This is the tree and view that divides our property.    Today, just like my 500th follower and my wonderful neighbor who lifted me out of the clouds when they threatened to spill, I wish you all good things.  May they come at the right time and when they’re needed.

I wish you peace as you continue the journey.

  1. I don’t know if I should congratulate you for the milestone or for the fact that you found a nice mood because of that. Anyway, I am glad that Universe and Lori have colluded to make you feel better.
All the best to you, Miriam!

  2. It’s nice the way it just grows and grows, and congratulations. 🙂 It’s a nice community to be part of and certainly seems to have filled a gap in my life. Overfilled, if I’m truthful, but then that’s my fault. I hope the good mood continues through the weekend. Sending you positive thoughts (and you can’t go far wrong with a hug 🙂 )

  5. Congratulations! Wow 500 – I have ten and I think one of them is me, haven’t worked how I managed that yet. You are obviously enjoying it. Your writing is lovely and I can see even though we have just connected that you have an extremely generous spirit and it is lovely the way you are engaging and sharing with everyone. And teaching along the way I feel, that very special modelling kind. It sounds like you are having a rough time lately and I don’t like the doctor’s phone call either. Have a beautiful weekend. The great shot of the tree is taken in a beautiful light.

    1. Thanks so much Louise. You’re right, I am enjoying it so much, I never realised quite how much I would. This time last year I had even less followers than you, the difference was I hadn’t trekked to Nepal! What an amazing experience for you. Your photos are incredible. Good luck with your own blogging journey and I hope you also have a great weekend.

  6. Happy 500th!! I was just starting to feel Springlike when we woke up to snow this morning. Not to worry, I’m now wrapped up cosy with a mug of hot chocolate and catching up with blog posts so thanks for putting a smile back on my face 🙂 x
