Mundane Monday challenge: Clouds, coffee and routines back in place

My two kids were back at school today. First day back for a new year, new routines in place. It was so nice to have some quiet time again. Time for me, as selfish as it sounds.  To enjoy simple things, to walk the dog, shop without rushing, come home and do everyday chores, write, enjoy my music up loud.

After school it was catch up on their day. I drove my daughter to the paddock so she could feed her horse. And this is where I snapped the photo of the clouds. As I sat in the car I thought of how simple my day had been. And yet how special at the same time.

Then tonight after dinner hubby and I sat outside and relaxed. Just sat, talked and enjoyed a cup of coffee.  Nothing extraordinary but it’s the simple things that can be the best, especially at the end of a long day.

Mundane Monday Challenge is hosted by PhoTrablogger on a Monday.  This is the first time I’ve taken part, but what a great way to start the week.  Check out some of the other interesting links to other Mundane Monday posts in his weekly post.

It’s…a challenge created to find beauty in everyday mundane things…capture the beauty and upload the photographs.

Enjoy your mundane Monday.  Whether drinking coffee, cloud gazing, or simply going about your day, I hope your Monday is a happy one.
