Starting Out

Today I decided, after many years of writing for myself and for magazines, that I would take it one step further by blogging to the wider public. I’ve always loved the outdoors, getting out and about with family and friends to explore this great country of ours. Hence the name of this blog.

My hope is that over time, as this blog develops, I can share some of my travel experiences with others … tips on camping, weekends away, day trips and my personal recommendations for places to stay across Australia and closer to home, whether it’s a remote bush camp site, a pet friendly caravan park or farm stay accommodation. Life is too short to spend permanently indoors, especially when there are endless places to discover in this beautiful world of ours.

To get started here are a few pictures of our recent trip to the small seaside village of Southend, a relaxed and peaceful place to visit on the Limestone Coast of South Australia.
